There seem to be more disabled loos around now operated by a radar key, so thought I should get one. My Local Council charges £2.50 and you have to show proof of disability. Carol

The keys are great, Carol. I used to get SO fed up in large stores, waiting for someone to produce a key! Now I've got my own and it saves loads of time - not to mention crossed legs! xxx

Know what you mean Jean - I've had to wait until I get home since having both hips replaced! Carol

I've had one for a time now as I also have Meniere's Disease and on a bad day simply can't stand in queues or navigate my way around wee little cubicles. Beware of the Radar key scroungers who hang around outside disabled loos when they see you use yours. This is rife at busy railway stations. Thankfully I'm a hardfaced cow who has no time for people who want to save themselves 20p

I don't know about radar key scroungers but last year I had some boots repaired at the cobblers. He was going to give me my 1p change and I told him to keep it saying that I had been to the coast for the weekend and it was 20p to spend a penny.
He asked if I knew someone who had a radar key, to get it and he would copy it for me, so I would never have to pay to use the loo again.

Paula That's an idea Paula, if I had my original key copied, I could leave one in both cars, plus one in my bag .......... thanks! Carol

I bought a couple online a while back I think they were £2 each. Certainly saves time waiting for staff, and I hate those tiny cubicles. 2012 Fundraising for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RoboJo

You can get them from here, Radar NKS key - only £2.25, plus £1.75 Postage & Packing http://www.radar-shop.org.uk/Detail.aspx?id=0
I've heard from a few folks that have been to our NRAS groups that some of the cheaper copies don't always work, but I had no problem with the one's i got (I bought one of the normal size and the easyturn with the larger head) The prices for them seems to have gone up a bit since I got mine, and some of the copies seem to be around £4 too so it might be best getting the genuine ones Jane hope this helps Jo. 2012 Fundraising for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RoboJo
